Description:	Based on thorough study on the resources and references relate to Shaykh Faysal ibn cAbd cAziz's scholarly works, there is an obvious lacuna in the body of knowledge with regards to the specific study of the methodology of tafsir applied by the scholar in term of his sources used for tafsir, his interaction with the sources as well as his preferences. Therefore, this gap needs to be filled in by exploring the book of tafsir and the methods used by the scholar in producing his work. The aims of this study are to investigate the life of Shaykh Faysal ibn cAbd cAziz and explore his scholarly contribution and reformation to knowledge. Also, it examines the methodology of tafsir applied by the scholar in his work, Tawfiq al-Rahman fi Durus al-Qur'an. As for the analysis process, the researcher utilized descriptive, comprehensive, and inductive approaches when analyzing the selected data and examples from his exegesis. This study has discovered interesting facts with regard to Shaykh Faysal ibn cAbd cAziz's academic scholarship in particular his extensive writing in various field. Explicitly, this study has found obvious connection between his work and other primary tafsir references like Ibn Jarir (310H) and Ibn Kathir's (774H) works. In particular, he includes in his work the isrealete stories as well as forged and weak hadith. His approach in tafsir writing is completely different from his teacher al-Shaykh Abd al-Rahman al-Sa'diy whose book of tafsir is entitled as Taysir al-Karim al-Rahman fi Tafsir Kalam al-Mannan. Additionally, in expounding the context of the Quran verses in his tafsir, Shaykh Faysal ibn cAbd cAziz interestingly includes the views from Ibn Taymiyyah and his student, Ibn al-Qayyim particularly when addressing scientific / knowledge-based issues. As for the impacts of the study, the scholarly work of the scholar has significance influences on several types of readers; it inspires students and researchers from the Middle East countries, particularly those from Saudi Arabia to undertake Islamic jurisprudence field. Also, his work has motivational factor that encourage scholars and well-known writers” to produce writing in the field of Islamic jurisprudence and Quranic exegeses.,Sarjana Pengajian Islam
