Abstract

The family is believed to be and accepted as asocial institution that provides love, security and nurturance to its members. Thus the definition of the family has always been one of a non-violent social unit in society. Family violent throwovers a growing social problem here in Malaysia and in other countries Child abuse is a well-known phenomena, stemming from violence in the home It is now considered a serious problem and concerted efforts are being taken by the social welfare.
