dc.description.abstract | Problem based learning (PBL) is widely used in the higher learning to disseminate knowledge especially in the science subjects. PBL requires students to be active participants, creative in finding solutions to the problem, diligent in information seeking and to work collaboratively in a team. This study will be conducted to investigate the effect of technology in Problem Based learning (PBL) on the students achievement, attitude, communication skill and problem solving skill in Biology. Quasi experiment with the Non Equivalent Control Group Design will be used in this study. There will be three groups involved in the study. The groups are as the following: the PBL infused with technology group, the PBL group and the control group. The recent researchers had been focused on PBL solely thus this research has added technology into the existing PBL process. The technology that will be employed includes the usage of educational blog, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. All this will be inculcated into the existing PBL process. The instruments that will be used consist of an achievement test, a questionnaire and a log book. Findings from previous studies have stated that using PBL in the classroom had improved the students achievement, attitude, communication skill and problem solving skill. Thus a research will be carried out to test this findings against the PBL infused with technology setting on the Foundation students taking Biology. | en_US |
