In this paper, it has been shown that Ibn-i-Sina exhibits a scientific temper which makes him look our contemporary. He has the same love for detailed facts and a passion for abstract generalization which is the hallmark of our present-day scientists. This has been proved by making a reference to Ibn-i-Sina's contributions both in physical and biological fields. It has been shown that Ibn-i-Sina was alive to the need for methodological innovation which, in most cases, precedes scientific discoveries. Though not completely abandoning the metaphysical approach, Ibn-i-Sina had a clear concept of natural science with its emphasis on deductive techniques and empirical premises.en_US
