dc.description.abstractIbn Sina (980 - 1037) is one of the great est physicians of all times and a maj or philosopher. From early life , he began to display precocity to a remarkable degree and at a very early age he was able to cure the Samanid ruler, Nuh bin Mansur . As a token of gratitude the ruler placed his priceless library at the disposal of Ibn Sina. It be came proverbial to say that the Samanid library at Bukhara was n ot burnt but was transferred to the mind of Ibn Sina.en_US
