The most abundant compound in the Nephelium lappaceum leaves extract is gallic acid, a phytochemical with antioxidant and anticancer properties. In order to test its anticancer activity, human liver (HepG2) and lung (A549) cancer cell lines were cultured and tested with different concentrations of the crude extract. To study its cytotoxicity on normal epidermal cells, the extract was tested on K38 cell lines. However, further research is needed to test In-Vivo to study its side effects.-
