Abstract: | Islam holds very pragmatic and universal approach towards justice, fairness and equality. Thus, it is only through divine guidance that natural and universal justice can be established in the human polity. This paper outlines the Islamic paradigm of socio-economic justice. It takes stock of modem theories of justice and fairness in the light of Islamic moral and economic principles. It concludes that the Islamic doctrine of justice can combat the alarmingly growing socio-economic disparities and injustice among people and nations in the contemporary age. |
