Abstract: | The research objective is to identify factors influencing the decision making to implement the Advance Manufacturing Technology (AMT) in small and medium enterprise (SME) firms in Malaysia. The data for this research has been collected from 102 firms in Selangor and Klang Valley by using mailed questionnaire survey. Personal visit by researches were undertaken to enhance the rate of response. Data was analysed using Multiple Regression Analysis. Six factors has been classified as independent variable which includes product quality, cash flow, management team, labour cost, employees and government training programme. The result shows product quality, cash flow, labour cost, employees and government training programme do not influence the decision making to implement AN4T. Only the management team influence significantly the decision making of the SME to implement AIMT. The coefficient value based on Multiple Regression Test is for management team (0.0601), employees (0.0g1), government training programme (0.057), product quality (0.044), cash flow (0.023) and labour cost (-0.054) |
