Abstract: | The popular theories of common economic benefits and geographical propinquity in the international studies are far not enough to explain the "miracle" that Sino-Thai friendly relation had existed for the thousand years. The driving force of Sino-Thai friendly relationship had mainly be based on the similarity of culture and value like peaceful, tolerant, merciful and gentle natures of both people, which led the wish of rulers of both countries to be friendly, and the Thai people and the society had kindly and equally treated the Chinese migrants and their descents for hundred years. The similarity of culture and value will continue to decide the final trend of current relation. Therefore, approaching and strengthening the cultural similarity and mutual understanding should be the best way to promote the bilateral relation, which will inspire how to strengthen the China-ASEAN cooperation. |
