dc.description.abstract | Rice is the staple food of the people of Malaysia and its industry is regarded as a strategic industry and an important commodity in the country's food security agenda. With the goal to increase the yield per unit area, the assessment of potential revenue to five seasons to two years to be exercised to the benchmark level of ability in helping the country achieve 100% SSL. The study deals with changes to the rat infestation are evaluated for the effectiveness of obtaining high yields. Rodents, as one of the major important vertebrate pests in rice fields identified as rice field rat, R. Argentiventer causing losses to farmers. These losses occur despite a reasonable knowledge of the general field biology of rat (Lam, 1983) and the potential to control this species using various Rodenticides (Lam et al., 1982). Rodenticides are pesticides that are applied as baits, dusts or fumigants to destroy or repel rodents and other mammals such as moles and rabbits (Lee & Kamarudin, 1987). | en_US |
