dc.description.abstractThis research is intended to investigate the social and economic factors influencing the income of paddy farmers. A regression model is constructed using sampled data collected from 150 respondents within 10 subdistricts. Farm size, number of working days, amount of capital and nonfarm income contribute significantly to the gross farm income. In general most farmers are ignore of the agricultural extension services that exist in the subdistricts. This study therefore, suggests that the role of agricultural institutions especially the department of agriculture should pay more attention to improving the service of agriculture extension for paddy farmers. The model of data analysis uses of sample for subdistrict is undertaken by utilizing the method of simple randomg sampling by allocating the samples of paddy farmers proportionally based on the samples of this research consist of 10 (ten) subdistricts and the samples of paddy farmers are in the number of 150 persons.en_US
