dc.description.abstractAs Japan grows as a major economic center of the world, its growing financial role in the world and its heavy dependence on the import of raw materials now require efficient and competitive Futures Markets to complement their underlying financial and cash commodities markets. Hence, the interest in Japan in the revitalization of its Futures Industry. Inevitably, the growth of the Japanese Futures Markets will lead them toward international competition, especially with the established Futures Markets in the United States. The specter of this competition has provided a stimulus for the globalization of the Japanese Futures Industry.en_US
