The palm oil industry of Malaysia sells only 20% of the material harvested from the estates. Not all of the reamining 80% of the harvest is wasted under the present processing conditions but these raw materials are not necessarily used in the best way. In this paper an attempt is made to see what alternatives are available so that the overall productivity of the industry may be increased and/or its saleable products widened. However the oil Malaysia is the world's largest producer of palm oil, exports are currently running at about 1.5 million tons per annum and are expected to rise to about 2 million tons within the next five years.en_US
