| Abstract: | That there is imbalance in the distribution of ownership in Malaysia is a living fact, which has been repeatedly reaffirmed by people interested in national development. The fact that such imbalance occurs along racial lines in terms of the ethnic groupings of this country makes the whole business of restructuring most urgent. The growing concern with income inequality between the races and dissatisfaction with the distribution of the benefits of growth among Malaysians have provided the basis of the New Economic Policy (NEP). |
