| Abstract: | This shows the insignificance of the time-span covered by oil as compared to coal. When both these fuels are exhausted, civilisation will regress to a stage where it is again dependent on wood - unless other alternative forms of energy are readily available. Of particular importance is the fact that we appear to be coming to the end of the oil era and the world will soon have to depend mainly on coal for its energy. |
