| Abstract: | In this paper, integration is taken to refer essentially to two major overlapping processes in Malaysia. One of these is the problem of political integration between the two major geographical divisions of the nation, namely the Peninsula on the one hand and Sarawak and Sabah in Borneo on the other. Secondly, integration refers to the socio-cultural process of welding the people of different ethnic origins in Malaysia into A tolerable, cohesive and lasting nationality. The two processes of integration are very much at work, both between Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak and Sabah and within the young nation as a whole. |
