Using materials from internet for the purpose of learning Arabic-English translation: a need analysis in USIM

Abstract

Internet can be used for a lot of different reasons such as economic, politics and academic purposes. It can supply us with a large amount of materials for learning translation (Arabic- English). Using Internet for learning Arabic is not only beneficial for curriculum design but also economic regarding financial cost. Thus, it is suggested that we should take advantage of this worldwide access in the process of learning Arabic language especially in learning Arabic-English translation. This article will discuss the need of using materials from Internet for the purpose of learning Arabic-English translation in Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. This article is based on library and field research. It is expected that many learners consider that there is a need for using materials from Internet for the purpose of learning Arabic-English translation in Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. It is also believed that materials from Internet will assist them to enhance their skills in Arabic-English translation.
