dc.description.abstractAfter an examination of some important aspects of land development and resettlement in Malaysia, it is observed that policies have been formulated, plans have been implemented and land has been successfully developed and resettled. A number of pertinent questions however, arises within the context of the existing conditions. agricultural development mean the increase in the gross or net output per capita? Or does it mean the development of opportunities and human abilities, capabilities and capacities? Or does it mean both or much more than these? In the process of agricultural development, have the policy makers selected the best alternatives to achieve the specified goals, for, planning for agricultural growth involves the identification of development opportunities and mobilizing the appropriate resources to exploit them.en_US
