dc.description.abstract | The Pan-Pearl River Delta "9+2" regional cooperation originated in an era of accelerating globalization and regional integration. Thus, useful indications can be derived when the development and improvement of "9+2" regional cooperation mechanism is studied in the general background of globalization and regional integration. Firstly, based on akin cultures and traditions, members of "9+2" can form similar value and prime guiding principles. They include: (1) equality - pursue absolute authority and responsibility equality with respect to membership qualification; (2) peace - peace, amicable relationships and harmony as the fundamental objectives of the cooperation; (3) competition cooperation based on market system and principles of competition; (4) complementarity - complementarity of advantages as the foundation and starting point of cooperation; (5) mutual benefit-mutual favour and mutual benefit as the cardinal principles of the cooperation; (6) sustainable development - sustainable development as the basic goal. | en_US |
