The self-reliance strategy of development and the new international economic order

Abstract

This paper aims at a definition of a self-reliance development strategy viewed for underdeveloped economies (with a special awareness of the danger of generalisation), but only from the viewpoint of the World Economy, leaving aside aspects of self-reliance within the national economy, specially at the level of production units and local communities.
