Abstract: | I have the honour to discuss with you this morning my thoughts on what I prognosticate as the prospects for long-term private investment in Malaysia. As you all know, the only certainty about the future is uncertainty and I am prepared to accept that my projections could turn out completely wrong. However, much greater men have been wrong in their projections, so I would only be joining an august company! You no doubt have heard of the President who requested that his economic advisor must have only one hand, to avoid receiving projections that are covered by too many "on the other hand's". I need four hands at least! I will now proceed with the factors and the background which form the basis of my assessment. |
