The progress of badminton in Indonesia

Abstract

PBSI is a member of KONI(The National Sports Council of Indonesia). KONI is a nongovernment body which has the right and duty to organize, supervise, control and coordinate activities of all sport organization in Indonesia. All badminton activities, matches and programs are administered and organized centrally by PBSI. The programs are put in the calendar where all matches throughout the year are to be found, nationally and internationally. All branches of PBSI at the provincial and district levels should organize their activities in such a way that they are not in contrast with the national calendar. However apart from those already arranged in the national calendar, there are still some badminton activities to celebrate the national important days and the anniversaries of government and private offices as well.
