dc.description.abstractJust before we attained our National Independence, a great number of our public spirited and influential sportsmen convened a meeting to plan the future of sports in Burma. The following aims and objectives were among various other measures adopted at the meeting: - 1. to promote in every respect the development of sports throughout Burma, 2. to establish sports controlling bodies in Burma, 3. to establish close relations with similar controlling bodies of other countries 4. to maintain close liaison among the sports controlling bodies in various fields.en_US
