Abstract: Introduction It is very interesting to talk about indigenous sport and physical activity. South East Asia, which is popularly considered as a developing region, has many problems in terms of indigenous sport and physical activity. It can be expected that there are many similarities in the nature, form, and the kinds of the concerned activities in the respected countries. On the other hand, there are certain distinctions that can be made. We know that indigenous activities are considered old things, but they possess high value. Indigenous sport and physical activity in South East Asian countries should be investigated, preserved and developed to enrich the national culture. It is the hope of this paper to give some contribution to the promotion of the indigenous sport and physical activity as a valuable tool in education.
