Abstract: | This paper describes briefly what is important to the indigenous people of Sabah, in particular, the Kadazan/Dusun community, that is, land, community /village life and adat (customs and traditions). It also discusses the process of learning among the indigenous people, how knowledge is shared among themselves and passed generation to generation. Lastly, it gives some suggestions as to how these learning processes can be used in the future within the formal education system that we have at present as well as within the non-formal education system that goes on everyday in the Malaysian society. |
