dc.description.abstract | INTRODUCTION ILUS (Integrated Land Use System) is a key project of the URA developed for use along with the other user organizations. It is an undertaking between the National Computer Board (NCB) and various user organizations in Singapore's Ministry of National Development (MND). It represents an attempt at innovative usage of an exciting technology which will become more important as we see environmental and resource planning demands grow more urgent and complex in the future. This paper will highlight the features of ILUS and discuss various aspects of its systems concept, features, implementation and assessment criteria. The whole project is discussed in general followed by a detailed description of the DA systems which is already implemented in the pilot phase of the project. The ILUS system is discussed as a whole via a description of the users' organizational objectives and the history of the development of ILUS. | en_US |
