We have been asked to give some practical, down-to-earth advice about the planning and management of nature tourism. Our credentials for this are that our consultancy firm has worked in this field over the last seven years, within New Zealand and throughout Asia and the Pacific. This paper presents some simple, general conclusions drawn from this experience. We address our comments in particular to the planners and managers of Sabah's world renown national parks and protected forests.en_US
