dc.description.abstractIn October 2003, at the 7th China-Asean Summit, the leaders decided establish strategic partnership between the two sides, China became the first strategic partner among Asean dialogue partners, and became the first to accede to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation, the first unequivocal support for the Treaty on the Southeast Asia nuclear-weapon-free zone, the first to confirm to establish the free trade area with Asean .This leads the strategic partnership between China and Asean cooperation in East Asia, becomes a model of 10+1 cooperation. The comprehensive cooperation between China and Asean has not only given a strong boost to their economic and social development and brought tangible benefits to their peoples, but also made important contribution to the peace, stability and prosperity of the region and the world at large.en_US
