Abstract: Leadership has been the subject of many studies over the past forty years in Western countries. However, as per the researcher's knowledge, till to date no studies has been found in the Islamic literature that tried to shed light on the influence of transformational or servant leadership upon the organization citizenship behavior (OCB). Therefore, this study tries to fill up this research gap by reviewing the relevant literature. Moreover, few propositions have been developed to uncover the links that is not served in the previous research. The overall research objective of this paper is to understand the influence of Islamic leadership on the organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). More specifically, (i) the influence of transformational leadership upon OCB, and (ii) the influence of servant leadership upon OCB from Islamic and non Islamic perspective. It is being expected that this study will contribute to the OCB and leadership literature and managerial practices by providing the useful knowledge and direction regarding the effects of leadership behavior upon OCB and by comparing the Muslim and non-Muslim leadership behaviors.
