Abstract: The objective of this article is to investigate the social issues faced by the Japanese participants of Malaysia My Second Home. Malaysia My Second Home Program is a supported by the Government of Malaysia to allow foreign citizens who fulfill certain criteria, to enjoy long-term stay in Malaysia. The length of stay is as long as possible on a social visit pass with a multiple entry visa in which the Social Visit Pass is initially for a period of ten years and is renewable. Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) is open to all citizens of countries recognized by the Government of Malaysia regardless of race, religion, gender or age. Year by year, this program has attracted many Japanese citizens as Malaysia has a visa tailored to promote the country as a destination to reside. Participants were asked to respond to a self-report questionnaire designed for the study. The questionnaire was administered to MM2H participants in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Cameron Highlands in Malaysia. The data was analysed quantitatively using SPSS.
