Premlinary observations on the traditional Malay society during the Malacca Sultanate revealed that it was a society divided into various classes. Such phanomena however, did not automacally meant that seperation was the main trand ratner than intraction. They were separated in the sense that each class has it own sets of rights and previlleges but for various reasons they interacted and yet lived on for more than a century with a commedable degree of conhesiveness. The social classes found in Malacca were quite highly developed as such their forms continued to dominate the traditional Malay society even after the collapsed of the me empire.en_US
