Abstract: This research aims to detect the topic inclination on Library and Information studies in Indonesia. The research is carried out at the University of Padjadjaran as the second librarianship educational institution in Indonesia with takes case study at the Department of Library and Information Science. By using contents analysis technique, various student's thesis during January - December 2009 canvassed to detect the choose of research topic, title, contents, and theory that used. This study is five year. The result of this research can be use to measures the development of Library and important because the development of Library and Information Science in Indonesia during the last Information Science in Indonesia, in practice or in academic rank. At the academic rank, the research's result can be used to formulate education direction and to determine profession profile, qualification, competence, and curriculum. The research result also can be used as the entry point to develop of LIS studies at the broader level, regional or international.
