Abstract: In the age of globalization companies are going beyond their country borders in search of capital by offering securities. Investors are also investing in foreign securities. To facilitate this trend integration of securities markets at regional level have already taken place such as in Europe (EU securities market) and North America (Multijuridictional Disclosure System between Canada and US). Following them the ASEAN countries have taken a move to integrate their securities markets. With that greater objective in mind this paper intends to explore the integration possibility of the primary markets of Malaysia and Thailand. More particularly speaking, it will examine the prospectus disclosure rules of these two countries in order to spot their similarities and dissimilarities. Finally the paper will come with suggestions for an integrated bilateral securities market between Malaysia and Thailand, which may open possibilities for wider integration in this region.
