dc.description.abstract | The discovery of the rock painting in a large coastal limestone cave of Tham Phi Hua To, in Ao Luk District, in Ao Luk District, Krabi Province, was revealed for the first time in 1979 by a team of archaeo-anthropologists led by Douglas D. Anderson from Brown University, U.S.A. and by Pornchai Suchitta from Silpakorn University, Thailand. The cave contained over 40 ancient These paintings in red, black paintings on the walls, ceilings and niches. and buff hues are predominantly of human and animal figures, especially fishes and birds.
