Abstract: | During the past 2 decades we have gained much information about the history of copper-based metallurgy in Southeast Asia through work carried out in northeastern Thailand. Analyses of bronze materials from Non Nok Tha and Ban Chiang indicate that the ancient Thai metalsmith understood well most of the basic techniques of copper/bronze metallurgy since the early period of bronze using in this area.
