The Mlabri, or the Phi Tong Luang (the Spirits of the Yellow Leaves) as they are often called, are one of the last surviving groups of hunting and food-gathering people in Thailand. This paper will discuss their hunting patterns and their periodic movements in search of food with the aim of developing better explanations for the Hoabinhian, a late Stone Age cultural tradition widespread on the mainland of Southeast Asia from the end of the Pleistocene to the mid-recent period.en_US
