dc.description.abstract | The aim of this paper is to discuss comparatively the approach and methodology of oral history and oral tradition. The idea is not so much to look for differences but rather to identify common grounds for I believe, in the long run, it will be for the mutual benefit of the researchers in oral history as well as those in oral tradition if areas of common approach and methodology can be identified and perhaps worked out so that there is little over lapping as well as unnecessary wastage of manpower and facilities in carrying out not only research but documentation as well. I believe that there is so much in common shared by scholars in these two fields that it is worth the while to examine the problem closely. | en_US |
