Abstract: For a preliminary paper on a vast topic such as this and one that involves various conceptual discussion requires, I guess, an introductory remark at the outset before its actual discussions can take place. To our understandings the histories of the different parts of the world today have been seen from a narrow angle and with a limited understanding of what history should be. In many nations of the world today, the academics, thinkers and men of learning in discussing and perceiving history concentrate more on the modern interpretations of history as this is being taught in most modem institutions of learning and universities. This understanding of history is limited, confined to the need of what is said to be for the sake of the national interest in achieving unity, in a way was very overly defined only according to those needs and to the end of such conditions history is deprived of a complete understanding of the place of .. man as a universal being, his meaning in the present and future lives, his relationships to history itself, his very involvements within it and so forth.
