Abstract: Despite the announcement made by the Registrar of Society (ROS), which supporting Masing's claim over the right to party's leadership, disunity will continue to remain a decisive factor in determining the Dayaks' future political course. At least for the moment, the announcement seems to calm the 'storm', which has crippled, not only the party, but also the people it claims to represent. The informal acceptance by Larry Sng -- the other claimant to the party leadership -- over the ROS announcement should resolve the existing problem, which has paralysed the party, but the problem still persist. What brought about the problem? Each claimant has their own 'noble' reasons to justify their continued battles, however, the bottom line is, the politics of individualism has been and will always been a vital factor that continue to divide the party especially when the line between the party's interests and that of an individual's is vague.
