Abstract: A study was conducted to assess factors that affect the driving behavior of older Malaysian road users. A total of 304 older drivers aged 50 years and over were interviewed in the state of Johor. Respondents driving behavior was assessed through fifteen items three-point Liker! Scale adapted from RTA (2005). Driving confidence was evaluated through a seven-item three-point Liker! Scale adapted from previous research by the Monash University Accident Research Center (2005). Result indicated that there were significant relationship between driving confidence (r = 0.142, p = 0.007), vision (r = -0.192, p = 0.000) and accident history (r = 0.140, p = 0.007) with driving behavior. Regression analysis showed the three predictors variables accounted for 6.9% of variance in driving behavior (F= 7.441, p = 0.000). Understanding factors that determine older driver's behavior is important to provide an insight for future trends and needs.
