dc.description.abstract | This study examines the behavior of parents towards saving for children's higher education. As it is just a preliminary study, the self-developed questionnaires were only distributed to parents in Bandar Muadzam Shah, Pahang. The questionnaire mainly uses fivepoint Liker! scale to produce mean scores for each item questioned. One interesting finding from parents profile reveals that majority of parents prefer to save for their children's higher education in savings account registered under children's name instead of other savings plans or schemes. Parents' perceptions on the cost of higher education in this country were studied. Parents' behavior and confidence level towards saving for children's higher education were also examined. Suggestions on future research are discussed as well. | en_US |
