Abstract: This paper Is a review of the literature on Cross Cultural studies of time. The articles were analyzed, on the basis of time orientation, namely, socio-cultural, economic and or psychological. The findings of the literature were then arrayed in accordance with the Lane and Lindquist ( 1988) conceptual time use and commitment framework. The implications pointed toward the need for continued research in time orientation, use and commitment, especially In light of the high levels of world trade and marketing and the production of goods either partially or fully in cultures other than where these items will be purchased/ used.
