dc.description.abstractSince the earlier of civilization many disposition of urban areas were near the water body like lakes, rivers or seas because this site provide the basic need of live as: water, food, communication and infra structure in this case water transportation. In the present time these urban areas change become big cities, like Jakarta, New York, Kuala Lumpur etc. The consumption of domestic water as the primary need of live is increasing bigger and bigger. Some modern cities provide domestic water by installation of modern system which have considerate the environment aspect, by catching the springs, purification of surface water, desalination and the last technique is by reuse of waste water. But most of them, especially which cities are in the developing countries have not modern facilities of drinking water provider. Usually the population get the water from many ways and most of them installed swallow pumping station because ground water has relatively good quality and the location spread out to the whole area so the exploitation do not need plumbing distribution. Finally, almost of the housing in the cities have their own small pumping installation and all this pumping station cause drawdown and drawdown in the coastal area caused the up coning of sea and fresh water border. The impact of this condition is the intrusion of sea water occurs in several coastal cities like in Jakarta, Indonesia the distance reach 7 km from the coastal line that is reach National Monument. This paper introduce the method of computation to design the pumping station of housing in the cities which give us little drawdown by manipulation of the tip of the well. When this method followed by implementation of recharge system, it will restrain the intrusion of sea water. This method is all at once gives us the decreasing of power of pumping of electric energy consumption of the city population.en_US
