Furthermore, due to crucial role of religion particularly Islam in making laws on bioethical issues in Malaysia, it is important to find out how sufficient Malaysian guidelines address the religious values in the Malaysian multi-faith society. Hence, the views of existing religions in Malaysia analysed in this study in order to find out the permissibility of human embryonic stem cell researches in their perspectives. Based on the findings of this thesis, all mentioned ethical concerns in respect to hESC researches have been included in the guidelines of Ministry of Health and Medical Council. Moreover, the issues have carefully established in line with Islamic teachings and relevant international standards and guidelines.
