There is general awareness of the opportunities to reduce the cost of electricity consumption in businesses, industries and government organizations. Energy management has been a significant method to help organizations meet this objective for their short term and long term successfulness. The energy consumption in buildings is one of the focal point to be considered. This research project is divided into two parts; software and hardware for energy auditing and monitoring in lighting system. The software for energy audit is developed by using Microsoft Visual Basic as a programming language. This software can display the energy audit report from the previous and present collected energy data. A wireless energy meter is developed for the energy power sensing, measuring and monitoring system. The wireless energy meter circuit consists of DC-DC Converter, voltage and current transducers, micro-controller and wireless radio module. Labview software is used to display the data obtained from the wireless energy meter graphically.-
