Abstract: The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system has become one of the most popular systems for identifying and tracking the objects. ZigBee enabled RFID interrogator mesh network has been formed for tracking person or object. The paper presents investigation of different scenarios of tag movement pattern to find out the virtual path in the RFID interrogator mesh network. When transponder enters into the intersecting zone then, all the two interrogators will interrogate it at different time slot. Therefore, two tracking dataset will be independently generated containing different timestamps. However, only one interrogator and its corresponding tracking dataset shall remain in the database. The deduction of this knowledge will be based on the position of the previous and the next interrogator of these two interrogators along the track. In this case, we have created a virtual interrogator at the mid point area r to indicate the intersecting interrogation. This paper proposes the architecture and Virtual Route Tracking (VRT) algorithm for tracking objects in the ZigBee enabled RFID interrogator mesh Network.
