| Abstract: | The distributive nature of ontology development has led to a large number of ontologies covering overlapping domains, which needs to be merged and aligned to one another for their successful sharing and re-use. There are many ontology engineering techniques available but it has been seen that the current approaches of matching, merging and aligning suffer from a number of problems and these techniques need to be enhanced. A methodology framework should include application-oriented decision criteria to support this activity for the practitioners. |
