dc.description.abstract | With the high demands for mobility and flexibility, the market for IEEE 802.11 wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is taking off quickly. This had urged the rapid grow of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) application for today's Internet as well. Due to the fundamental problem that arises in the transmission and reception voice packet over the wireless link conforming to IEEE 802.11 standards, the packet loss can have a major impact perceived voice quality. Owing to that, many solutions had been proposed in order to improve the Quality of Service (QoS) of voice packet. This paper proposed a low level frame prioritize scheme for VoIP over wireless links in order to improve the QoS for real time traffic such as voice transmission. | - |
