dc.description.abstract | Due to the small size of mobile phones' screen area, data and information to be displayed on them should be carefully selected. For schema-based database querying via mobile phones, users, by right, should be presented with all query terms to enable them to compose all possible queries. However, this will greatly depend on the size of the database's schema itself. If the size of the schema is small, all query terms can be displayed to users for selection. However, if the size is large, then only selected query terms should be displayed in order to avoid tedious scrolling of the screen. Hence, this paper proposes a method to present these selected query terms as recommended items. The method proposed uses past collaborative queries in recommending query terms; and breadth first method for ordering their sequence of appearance. Hence, in this paper, the framework and the method used are elaborated. | - |
