dc.description.abstract | Discovering information from structured data has been involving since quite some time in the form of data mining but discovering hidden knowledge from unstructured data (text mining), which is increasing more than ever globally, is currently in its infant stages. This research paper discusses in detail an implementation of summarization implemented in our text mining application. We have implemented 'Extract Summarization'. The size of the summary varies depending on the compression rate specified. The candidate sentences are selected based on indicator phrases, thematic words, number of words and occurrence of nouns. | - |
